This blog is simply the story about my little life
with my sweet family that the Lord has blessed me with
and the day in, day out things that we do.
It basically is my online diary/photo album of our life.
I'm glad you're here!

Say Yes to the Dress party!

We celebrated this girl today with a "Say Yes to the Dress" party for her and the bridal party! We had planned to have brunch and then go to the bridal store to watch her try on dresses, but she actually found her dress the week before on clearance, so we just altered our plans a bit and decided to go see her model her dress and help her choose a veil and the bridesmaid dress colors.
We had a delicious brunch of ham and cheese quiche, coffee cake, banana bread, fruit salad, fresh sliced fruit, coffee and mimosas.
Megan's mother was not able to come to the brunch, but she would meet us later at the bridal store.
The amazing girls that my sons have chosen, Rachelle, Megan and Brittany (with darling little Ridley!).
We had a lovely time visiting and talking all about weddings! I pulled out Mackenzie and Brittany's wedding book and that was fun to look at!
 Little mister is sooo cute!
Megan with three of her four bridesmaids, Kelsey, Caitlin and Megan. Her 4th bridesmaid, Stephanie, could not make it today.
Oh how I love these girls!
After brunch we all drove to the bridal store!
There are pretty things everywhere you look!
 Lovely!
 White wedding dresses everywhere!
 So many gorgeous dresses!
 Which one will she choose?
She knows, but it's a secret!
 Look at these gorgeous shoes!
There are so many pretty bridal headbands!
The consultant came over to help us.
We were all anxiously awaiting for Megan to come out of the dressing room.
Here she comes and she looks stunning! She ended up finding a dress on clearance, it was originally an $850.00 dress and she got it for only $150.00! What a blessing!!!
Her mama was so proud and got misty-eyed.
I teared up as well, she looked so beautiful!!!
She tried on several veils for us to see. She looked great in all of them, it will be hard to chose!
Posing with her mama. I love to see her ring on her finger.
After we were done looking at her dress, we started looking at all of the bride's maids dresses. These two dresses are just magical! I think they remind me of Barbie or a Disney princess.
There are so many gorgeous dresses!
So many of them are embellished with jewels and sparkleys, but Megan prefers a more simple sedated style.
We had fun looking at color swatches.
There were so many to chose from, but Megan narrowed it down to something in the blue family.
We had such a lovely day, I'm so grateful that she shared this special day with me! She looks gorgeous in her dress! I can't wait for all the rest of the fun activities and events that will take place leading up to the big wedding day!!!

“But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Mark 10:6-9

What a fun time! I'm sure Megan was so delighted. Everything look so lovely as always. :)
Next month my daughter is going with her bridesmaid for dresses and you have inspired me to host my own "say yes to the dress" brunch.
Planning on having everyone meet at our home for bagels, muffins, fruit etc...then shopping.
It is an exciting time! Her Wedding is In August.
Oh and your grandson is just precious!
