This blog is simply the story about my little life
with my sweet family that the Lord has blessed me with
and the day in, day out things that we do.
It basically is my online diary/photo album of our life.
I'm glad you're here!

Moving day!

Last night was the last night in the old house!
 We're moving today!
We've taken lots of loads in our cars and trucks, but we did one big load in this huge 600 square foot trailer.
Oh, this place is so beautiful!
Don't worry, we're not going to leave that sofa in the grass or park my car here on a regular basis! haha!
It was just Eric and I and our four sons last night. The boys were such a HUGE help to us!
Blondie and Layla are loving the country life!
 Dinner time!
We didn't have any plates and we realized we had brought over our Christmas dishes, so as they say, "It's Christmas in July!"
 We were all so hungry!
We've worked hard, now it's time to play a little!
 Cameron and Mackenzie!
 Eric and Hayden!
Grayson!
I can't believe this is all ours!
They boys found a bunch of quad trails on our property and the property behind us.
 We can't wait!!!
So here's a sneak peek at some of the house.
I'm liking our red furniture against the yellow walls we painted!
Here's the kitchen! I didn't think I would be able to cozy it up, but so far with just placing things in there it's looking VERY cozy! I was a little scared about how dark the olive green turned out in the laundry room, but when we put it in the kitchen it looked very nice.
I bought this cute hutch off of Craig's list. There's a hole in that brick wall intended for an antique stove. I was hoping the hutch would hide it, but there's a 4 inch gap on the right side. I'm sure we'll come up with a solution.
I painted my little island black and am so pleasantly surprised that it fit in the center of the room with the hutch in there too. I'm going to paint the hutch black too and distress it and eventually we're going to paint the cabinets cream. What do you think of our color choices? The mustard yellow we painted in the family room turned out way brighter/darker than I thought and I'm a bit worried, but hoping that once we get the furniture in there it will calm down.
Well, we got a good jump on things, but we have a TON to do today. I'm going to be off-line for probably a week or more, so will not be able to post for awhile. Until then, take care and God bless!

Look where I did my Bible study this morning!

I can't believe it! This place is now ours! We've been moving stuff over there all morning. Tomorrow is the big move with trucks and trailers and lots of help to get the big furniture. We will sleep at the new house tomorrow night. Eric and I are so excited and so very thankful. God blessed us beyond our dreams.

Beauty....

Beauty....on every level. Love this girl. Love the man she married. Love the little baby boy inside.

Thank You, Lord, for this blessing. I pray that You will bless and keep my little grandson and I pray that he's healthy. I pray that the pregnancy continues to go as smoothly as it has already and that You will keep Brittany safe and healthy, as well as my son, Mackenzie. I pray that they will be wise and wonderful parents. I pray that this little baby boy will always love you and serve you, God. I pray that this new life is blessed by you.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Dear Father God for this new little blessing!

"For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in Your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them." Psalm 139:13-16

P.S. She's 6 months along, due date is 10/22/13

A little bit of peace....

What a beautiful, sunny, warm Sunday morning. The sprinklers are running and even making a rainbow.
I found my husband out in the backyard.
 He was picking blueberries!
What a lovely morning in our old backyard.
It's so lovely and peaceful out here. Look at the beautiful shadows from the trees in the grass.
 Hey, there's McGyver!
The blueberries are nice and ripe!
I helped Eric pick the berries.
What a lovely time out here in the morning sunshine.
 We picked a lot!
 My sweet kitty.
My husband has so much integrity. Even though we are moving, he keeps watering & mowing the grass, watering the berries & what few vegetables we have, and he even put more sawdust around the roots of the blueberries because it's good for them. I love this man!
With all the craziness of moving, it sure is nice to go out in the backyard and have a peaceful moment. Let's go back inside now and you can see my reality.......
Augh!!! There are boxes everywhere! It's funny that we have Life cereal on the counter, because this is our life right now!
All the pictures are off the walls.
I've emptied every cabinet except the main kitchen cabinets.
Everything's boxed up and placed in the living and dining room. It's so exciting that we are moving, but it is a very strange transition. It's hard to live like this, but we are so happy!
You can see where I've been grouping things together to see if colors will match. I bought a very cute red and white checked wing back chair for our new living room and have been picking up yellow and red floral pillows and accessories to coordinate. I'm anxious to see if everything will all come together like I envision it in my head! We signed papers on Friday and get the keys on Wednesday or it could even be Thursday, but we are hoping to get over there today to get our painter started.
Needless to say, life is a little hectic, so for now, lets just go back outside where it's calm and peaceful!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!!!! I found these pictures from last years 4th and it makes me kind of sad.
The porch is so cutely decorated and this year it's not at all. Our house is a huge mess with no decorations on the walls, just piles of boxes. It's really weird to live like this, but I'm sure next year will be wonderful out at the new house! Oh, I should update you on that....we sign papers tomorrow and we will start moving on Tuesday!!!! Woot woo!!!
Our kids are coming over for breakfast this morning and I actually found my Blue Willow dishes, so I am going to set the table like this photo from one of our previous 4th of July breakfasts. I dug out the patriotic coffee mugs too! We will make due with what we can!
This is a picture of my hubby and I at last year's parade. We will be heading down there again this year after breakfast. I put our chairs out on the street two days ago to save our spot! This evening we are going to our friends annual 4th of July barbecue/party and then watch the fireworks. We are stressed and have so much going on, but I'm really thankful that we are setting time aside today to be with family and friends and relax a little bit.

Wishing all of you a very happy and safe 4th of July with your families and friends. God Bless America!!!

This is one thing I won't miss.....

This is one thing I will NOT miss at the yellow house.
To reach my spices I must stand on a stool.
I have spiced my foods like this for years! My kids probably think this is a normal thing since this is all they have ever seen! haha! My new home has a spice cabinet that is lower to the ground like me. hee hee. We're getting really excited!
