This blog is simply the story about my little life
with my sweet family that the Lord has blessed me with
and the day in, day out things that we do.
It basically is my online diary/photo album of our life.
I'm glad you're here!

Eric's birthday!

Last Sunday was my husband's 52nd birthday!
I started his day with a big old fashioned breakfast served on a special plate!
That night we had a big family dinner with our kids and his parents. Our youngest son, Hayden, had to work, so he could not join us. :0(
He wanted barbecued ribs, homemade potato salad and homemade baked beans for his special dinner.
Because we had such a big crowd, we also barbecued a salmon fillet from the fish that he caught the day before!
Instead of a birthday cake, he asked for homemade oatmeal raisin cookies.
We celebrated 34 of his 52 birthday's together!
Eric and his loving parents.
 Mackenzie and Brittany.
 Grayson talking with his Grandma.
Time to open presents! He's enjoying this card that someone gave him.
The boys gave him a new book about brewing your own beer at home. Right after he opened it, they all got up and went into the living room.....
....and then came back in with......
...all the stuff for him to brew his own beer.
What a neat and thoughtful idea! They all pooled their money and planned this in advance.
They bought every single thing that he would need to get started.
Including hops, yeast and recipes.
And Mackenzie demonstrated that if the beer making thing did not work out he could start a jug band! haha!
Cameron was the guy behind this big idea because his roommate just made some, so he was explaining how it's done.
I think this is a great idea for Eric. He's always enjoyed new projects and he likes to cook. Lately his new thing has been smoking meats and even canning them, so I really think he will enjoy making his own beer and experimenting with new recipes.
The boys are all very interested in it too, so it will be a family project!
Alice was enjoying herself. She said she's so proud of her son and all her grandsons! I don't blame her, she has much to be proud about!
Mackenzie was teaching her the fist bump and explode. Haha!

Here's to you honey! Happy birthday! I hope you have many, many more! I love you!!!

"God bless you and keep you, God smile on you and gift you, God look you full in the face and make you prosper." Numbers 6:24-26

Hugs, Sharon

Ahhh! That is so sweet! Happy belated birthday to Eric. I think he's the same age as my brother Tom (he turned 52 on April 19th.)

What a fine celebration you all had. You'll have to let us know about the beer labaratory! Excited to hear. Bet there will be alot of taste-testers. LOL

Happy Birthday Eric ! What a nice family celebration too. My son in law brews his own beer , he has it down to fine art , he grinds his own grains and grows his own hops. He has turned a beer fridge into a kegerator , which holds two kegs and he has two taps on the door , with stainless steel buckets if there are any drips. So he usually has two kinds on tap. He is very popular on hot summer days. Eric will get a lot of enjoyment out of making his beer too. Donna
