This blog is simply the story about my little life
with my sweet family that the Lord has blessed me with
and the day in, day out things that we do.
It basically is my online diary/photo album of our life.
I'm glad you're here!

God's provision...

This is a little story about thankfulness to God and also to give credit to my hard working kids! This is Mackenzie and Brittany. They've been married for 3-1/2 years. When they got married they were both full time students working part-time. He worked at the drum shop, which I did a post on last week, and she was a waitress and then she got a job at a school teaching special needs kids.
First we'll start with Mackenzie.
He graduated last March from the University of Oregon with a Bachelors of Science in Digital Arts and he also obtained two Associates degrees from Lane Community College in Multimedia Design and an AAOT. After he graduated he started hitting the pavement looking for a job.
He got a several small jobs doing web design right away and he kept looking for the "big" job, all the while praying for it and praying for God's will, guidance, wisdom and direction.
He does amazing digital art work. He made their album cover.
He also is great at taking photos and he took this beautiful picture of these lilies and then...
He used his talents and altered the picture to look like this! Isn't this beautiful! He's very talented!
He also designed this retro looking cover shot for a remix of California Dreamin' that they did.

He kept working and plugging away and then he heard about a graphic job position at Hewlett Packard through his Aunt Stacey. He applied for it and we were all praying so hard that he would get an interview and we were also praying for God's will.
It was so exciting when he got the interview and then we learned that he got the job!!! At first it was a one month temporary job, then they changed it to a three month position and then they told him they wanted him to stay for two years!!! He's been working for them since last July! He does all kinds of graphic design work for HP and they also have him work on projects for some big names like Disney, Universal Studios, Wal-Mart, Dr. Seuss, Winnie the Pooh, Cars II, Sesame Street, etc. It's really challenging and exciting work for him!

This has been such a blessing! Especially in this economy! Wow! We give God the glory for this fabulous opportunity for Mackenzie! He got a wonderful job in his field that pays well with benefits and he gets to do the work that he loves every single day! This job is still considered temporary, but we know God will work out that detail later!
Now let's talk about my beautiful daughter-in-law, Brittany!
She graduated in May from Corbin University with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. She had a job already working with special needs children, but she was looking for a different type of job. She had been looking off and on for about a year and she finally got an interview for a receptionist position at a NeuroSpine surgery center. We were praying the day of the interview and this is the text she sent me after her interview.....
She told me that she felt the interview went well and that 7 other people were applying, but she's giving it all to God!
Then the next day I got this text! She got the job!!!! She got a nice raise with room for another raise and growth and opportunity in the company! She's so excited!
I just want to give God the glory for His provision and divine intervention in the plans and events in my kids lives. They are living for Him and He has blessed them tremendously! They are both hard working and very talented and I am so proud of both of them!

"To God be the glory, for the things He hath done!" ~ Old Hymn by Fanny Crosby, 1875

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

Hugs, Sharon

Wonderful!! So happy for both of them. All their hard work is starting to pay off. Yes, Mackenzie does great work. He probably doesn't even see it as "work!" Good luck to Brittany at her new job. :o)
