This blog is simply the story about my little life
with my sweet family that the Lord has blessed me with
and the day in, day out things that we do.
It basically is my online diary/photo album of our life.
I'm glad you're here!

Trains, boats and automobiles.....

We got up real early and hit the road again; destination: Sacramento with a couple of tourist attractions along the way.
The boys fell asleep as soon as they got in the car!
It was a beautiful drive through the redwoods and then....
...we drove into the wine country.
There was miles and miles of vineyards, it was breathtaking. We took an old back country road to get to this.....'s California's Old Faithful.
It's a natural geyser.  It only blows about four times an hour, so we had to wait for it. Pretty soon we heard it rumbling and saw it bubbling and then....
Woo-hooo....there she blows!
It is really pretty, but seriously....
...we paid ten bucks a piece for this???
We laughed at ourselves and felt like we were suckers, but isn't that what these roadside attractions are all about?
The next stop was this very cool train museum located in Old Sacramento.
It's called the California State Railroad Museum.
There were lots of interesting exhibits
They had real trains in there!
We learned so much history about locomotives.
It's a huge museum with many, many exhibits.
It was all very interesting.
Of course, my favorite parts were seeing all the different railroad china that they had displayed and...
....seeing the kitchen from a train. I love all the dishes and accessories from the 30s and 40s. After the meusum we went to a really cool restaurant called the Elephant Bar and had a relaxing nice dinner and then we stayed in another hotel. We need to get up early tomorrow for we have an 8 hour drive through LA!
Again, as soon as we hit the pavement, the boys were sound asleep...
...having sweet dreams.
We drove by the unbelievably large cattle ranches near Stockton. They aren't quite the happy cows that you see on the commercials.
Then we hit the grapevine and got through that very easily.
We're in LA! There are cars everywhere!!!
And finally, we make it to our destination! Mike and Rhochelle's lovely home near LA.
We got there a little earlier than expected and Rhochelle said Mike was at the dock where their boat is anchored, so we all jumped in her car and drove down to see Mike and to take a little boat ride.
Eric's holding their sweet dog, Misty!
Wow! What a gorgeous marina!
Their boat is beautiful!
And big too! It even has a kitchen and a bathroom!
Captain Mike!
Rhochelle and I so happy to see each other again!
It seems like everything in California is beautiful!
Mike took us on a little drive through the harbor.
This is like a neighborhood on the water. There are blocks and blocks of beautiful homes.
We saw some kids paddle boarding.
Look at this magnificent home.
This boat aint bad either!
I love this house.
This one is pretty too.
Rhochelle packed some snacks for us and we stayed out until it got dark.
We had a great time.
A lot of the homes on the water had Christmas lights up. It was so beautiful.
Well, it's time to dock the boat and head back to their house. It is so nice to be here!
