This blog is simply the story about my little life
with my sweet family that the Lord has blessed me with
and the day in, day out things that we do.
It basically is my online diary/photo album of our life.
I'm glad you're here!

Hayden's apple pie...

Hayden came home from school carrying the ingredients to make an apple pie.
He is in a culinary class and this was an assignment.
He made the dough at school, but had to roll it out and bake it at home.
He was doing a great job!
I think it's wonderful that he's learning how to cook!
He placed the pie dough in the pie pan....
...mixed the apples and sugars and....
...placed the apple mix in the shell. Now he's covering up the apples with the second layer of pie crust and it's ready to go in the oven!
He put his initials on it! Hayden Elliot! I thought that was so cute!
Mmmmm! It looks wonderful!
He did a great job and it tasted delicious! Now this is the kind of homework I can get into! haha! I emailed his teacher and told her how good it was. He got an A!

Happy 18th birthday Rachelle!

Grayson's girlfriend, Rachelle just celebrated her 18th birthday and a few days later we had a family party for her. Grayson's trying to be all serious in this picture!
She tickled him to get him to smile and it looks like Mackenzie was trying to get in on the fun too!
It worked, she got him to smile!

They are so cute together!
Hayden and Mackenzie.
I gave her the birthday survey and she requested chicken Alfredo. However, I can see where she originally wrote "pancakes" and then erased it! heee hee!
Mmmm! Dinner's ready!
You go first Rachelle since it's your day!
It looks great!
We didn't have a sit down dinner, instead we watched a movie and all of us piled into our little family room!
I love these family dinners!
Rachelle and Grayson seem to be enjoying their dinner!
Cozy movie time!
Brittany made this beautiful cake!
Brittany's lighting the candles.
Make a wish!
Time to open the gifts!
She got lots of nice gifts from everyone.
The cake is fabulous! Brittany sure did a great job!
Happy birthday sweet girl! We love you!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Today I wanted to share with you what we for Thanksgiving! We had such a wonderful, memorable, fun Thanksgiving day! It was at my sister Kathi and her husband Stacey's house.
When we walked in Kathi was working on the turkey.
Our other sister Kelli was helping her.
My in-law's Alice and Jim were going to be alone this year, so Kathi and Stacey said to "come on over" and they did! Alice prepared some wonderful appetizers!
I am soooo grateful for these wonderful Thanksgiving memories!

I love this time after dinner when everyone is relaxing and visiting!
It's so cozy!
It reminds me of a book I read as a child, Miss Twiggley's Tree, where the whole town was trapped in her tree house on a stormy night and they were all warm and cozy in her cute home.
Samuel and Jessica were playing the piano while the adults were having coffee and talking. It was a very special Thanksgiving!
Wishing you a very wonderful Thanksgiving!
Here's a video of our family on Thanksgiving Day for you to enjoy.  May the Lord richly bless you and your family on this day!
